Typically, document image print jobs are extremely large, often exceeding several mega-

bytes in size, and transporting them over a network often creates congestion and unnec-

essary bottlenecks.

However, the ImageServer Windows driver, included in your shipset, provides a solution to

this problem. Using a proprietary CCITT Group 4 compression method, the driver com-

presses document image files on the host, thus reducing their size significantly, before

sending them over the network.
